Minot Story Hour

Posted by MPLadult on November 10, 2017

The Friends of the Minot Public Library are excited to host the Minot Story Hour on Saturday, November 18th at 7:00 pm for an evening of stories, food and music!

The Minot Story Hour is a community storytelling event in which people from the Minot community share their real life stories in ten minutes or less. The theme for this first event of the 2017/2018 season “The Lies We Tell” and storytellers will share their personal histories related to this theme. These stories will be complicated and risky and touching and challenging. There will be a diverse cast of storytellers, all sharing from their real lives. This is a great opportunity for us to listen to each other and grow together as a community. And we guarantee you will laugh out loud at least once!

Each event features real people from our community telling their real stories. All stories are 10 minutes in length; with about six tellers each night… viola! The Minot Story Hour.

Events also feature live music from local artists, food and beverage.

Every Story Hour night has a unique theme. Stories and music for this night all relate--directly or circuitously--to this theme.
