CITY OF MINOT JOB APPLICATION

Looking for a challenging and exciting job with an innovative public library in a growing community?

The Minot Public Library (MPL) is looking for a dynamic person to fill the position of Adult Services Librarian. There is never a dull moment at the Minot Public Library… MPL was the first public library in North Dakota to open a Makerspace and recently became the first library in the state to open a Tool Library. In 2017, the Minot Public Library was named a “Star Library” by the North Dakota State Library. In 2018, MPL introduced 3D printing to our patrons and are also taking part in the ALA’s “Libraries Transform” campaign – we are proud of our mission to connect, enrich and inspire the people of our community.

The Adult Services Librarian is essential to the Library’s mission. This person not only oversees the day-to-day duties of the Adult Services area serving as a circulation supervisor, but is encouraged to explore and offer a variety of programs for all adults (from new adults to senior citizens) as well as take on collection development duties, act as research librarian, provide, reader’s advisory, promote services and much more!
