NLW-FBprofile_0.jpgApril 10th - April 16th is National Library Week and the Minot Public Library has plenty for you to do to celebrate!

While supplies last, patrons will receive a free library bag with every check-out thanks to our Friends of the Library group. The Library will also be giving patrons a chance to tell the staff what MPL does to help them transform. All week long people can write ways the Library has helped them transform on butterflies which will then be posted in the Library’s lobby along with the current art display

Friday, April 15th: Children’s book character Skippyjon Jones will make an appearance in the Children's Library Friday at 10:00 am.

Saturday, April 16th: MPL wraps up National Library Week with a busy day on Saturday the 16th. At 1:00 pm the Library hosts its third meeting of the “Color Me Happy” coloring club. Meanwhile, at 2:00 pm the Friends of the Minot Public Library celebrate winners of the annual Dallas Gilmore Poetry Contest for children. Finally, on the evening of Saturday the 16th, the Friends of the Library host The Minot Story Hour for an event called “At the Table”. The public is invited to come hear six members from the Minot community share real stories about food, friends, family (dynamics) and all the stuff that happens when we sit together at the table. The event begins at 7:00 pm and includes live music and food.
