Teen Writing Contest

We are so thrilled to offer a Teen Writing Contest with our Teen Summer Reading Program! This year’s theme is “Spark a Reaction” so it will be an exciting theme to build a story on.

We want to read short stories that involve reactions! Some ideas include but not limited to: storms and weather, chemistry, fireworks or relationships.  

The RULES:

 The short stories must be between 1000-1500 words.

Make it look professional : Use Microsoft Word and double space your story.

Use Times New Roman font or Courier in 12 point font size and use 1 inch margins.

In the upper left corner, please use a header with your last name, title and page number.

Use a title page with your name, telephone number and address. 

Your story must have a beginning, middle and end.

  Teen writers are invited to submit their short story entries to storysparks@yahoo.com or turn it in the front desk by August 8th.

There is a $25 gift card for 1st place, $20 gift card for 2nd place and $15 gift card for 3rd place. Winners will be announced at Super Duper Fun Day on August 14th.   It is a real treat to offer this contest and we hope for lots of exciting entries from our teen writers!
