Shake, Shimmy, and Read This Summer

Get in the groove this summer by taking part in the 2108 Summer Reading Program at the Minot Public Library.  Children of all ages are encouraged to sign up for the program which will kick off on June 4th at the Minot Municipal Auditorium.  The Pangea House Players will be doing a special musical program and after the presentation we will be having a Real Live Dance Party where children can rock away the afternoon!  The fun starts at 2 pm.  Children may sign up for the program at this time.

Read to the beat this summer and win all sorts of terrific prizes.  Children who read a minimum of thirty minutes per week will be eligible for weekly drawings that will be held throughout the summer.  Children signing up for the program will be given a reading log to keep track of the time they spend reading each week.  They will be given one chance to win for each symbol crossed off the log.  Children will also be given a chance to win each time they check out materials.

Drawings will be held weekly throughout the summer for prizes. Weekly winners will receive a back-pak book bag and a ticket to a Sabre Dogs Baseball Game.

Drawings for grand prizes will be held at the end of the program.  Sponsors of the program include: KX, Tuff Trucks, Johnson Eye Care and Eye Wear, Roosevelt Zoo, Dakota Dental, Sundre Sand and Gravel, and Super Cuts.

The program will conclude on August 9th starting at 10 AM at the South Hill Complex.  We’ll be joining the Minot Recreation Commission for a Super Duper Reading Fun Day.
