As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, the Minot Public Library provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center’s electronic database, The Foundation Directory Online. The fully searchable database includes detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation’s top funders.
Minot Public Library has a source for non-profit agencies seeking funds for operations, matching funds, seed money, etc. The Foundation Center is an independent national service organization with the mission to foster a public understanding of the foundation field and to help grantseekers succeed.
The Foundation Center does this by providing print and online resources to help grantseekers identify appropriate funders and develop targeted proposals. A visit to the Foundation Center's Cooperating Collections at the Minot Public Library can assist you in your funding research. The FC Online brings together information in one place contained in many of the directories published by the Foundation Center. FC Online is a great resource to locate private funding sources.
Any person or agency may use the Center's materials at no cost. A small charge may be made for material gathered from other sources and also printing costs. The materials and online resources are located on the second floor of the Library in the Reference ar
