`The Compassionate Friends is a self-help organization offering friendship and understanding to bereaved parents. `The purposes are to promote and aid parents in the positive resolution of grief experience upon the death of their child, and to foster the physical and emotional health of bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings.

Chapter is currently not holding monthly meetings. They do offer their annual Picnic/Balloon Lift on the 2nd Sunday in July and their Candle Lighting Service on 2nd Sunday in December. Please call prior to event to verify there have been no changes in the date/time. Their newsletter is available to parents after the death of a child at any age. It is also available to siblings and grandparents after such a loss. Please send the following information to above address or email…Name of child, name and address of parents, sibling or grandparents requesting newsletter, along with birth and death dates. You will be added to the newsletter mailing list.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Compassionate Friends: When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.
