Farmers Union Youth

Offer a summer youth camp, scholarships, activity days, educational activities, etc.. Junior Youth camps are offered to youth who have completed grades 3-6, are given the opportunity to attend summer camp at one of five different sites across the state.

Farmers Union junior youth camps are held at Mouse River Farmers Union Camp near Velva,
Heart Butte Farmers Union Camp near Elgin,
LaMoure County Memorial Park near Grand Rapids,
Wesley Acres Bible Camp near Dazey and
Park River Bible Camp near Park River.
The three-day county-sponsored camps intermix teaching with recreational fun. Youth learn about cooperatives, the Farmers Union philosophy and other life skills such as leadership, problem-solving, decision making, public speaking and debating.
A current Farmers un ion family membership is required for a child to attend camp.
Senior youth camps are held at the Heart Butte Farmers un ion campsite near Elgin on beautiful Lake Tschida.
In addition, there are two extra camps – a Junior High Retreat for youth who have completed grades 7 & 8 only, and a Senior High Retreat for youth who have complete grades 9-12 only.
