The Minot Public Schools have a long and proud history of education excellence. The foundation pursues funding to assure the continuance of the tradition of excellence. A big effort was the restoration of the “BIG M”. This landmark sign now stands at the Duane Carlson Stadium. It is there as a tribute to the community and school district. The greater financial sponsorship came from the educators and other employees of the Minot Public Schools through individual gifts. Teacher incentive grants continue to serve our youth. Teacher requests for assistance are considered and funded to help make a difference in the education of the students. Recent grants supported the Accelerated Reader program, Reaching Out Through Reading-support for the reluctant reader, Artists in the Schools, Thematic Reader support for students who lack self-confidence and vocabulary.
