Mouse River Players is Minot’s oldest and most well-known community theater, founded in 1973. MRP provides quality theater experiences at an affordable cost to the community and surrounding areas, and also provides acting workshops, script writing and dramatic events to nurture theatrical talent. Each year, four to six productions are staged including musicals and family theater shows. With the new location in downtown Minot, MRP hopes to achieve its mission to the fullest with permanent facilities, multiple rooms for education, rehearsals, rental space and more.
The mission of the Mouse River Players Community Theatre is to create opportunities for community participation in enriching theatrical experiences. Our focus is on inclusion and quality, offering the public a well-balanced theatrical season, and striving to meet with excellence all of the demands placed on a community theatre.
MRP will accomplish its mission by:
A. Presenting theatrical productions of high artistic quality each year
B. Offering opportunities for youth and adult participation and theatre education through a variety of shows, workshops, and presentations, and
C. Increasing the theatre’s impact on and service to the community; and
D. Generating the necessary resources and efficiently managing those resources in support of the first three goals
