Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Verendrye Electric Cooperative (VEC) are offering three $500 scholarship to dependents of VEC members. Applications are available on line. The scholarships are for educational costs, and the students must enter college in the fall.

U.S. Bank Scholarship Program
US Bank Scholarship Program is open to high school students or students currently enrolled in an eligible two-or four-year college/university in the US. The grand prize winner will receive a grant of $20,000 from the Bank. With additional prizes, there is also a $10,000 scholarship and three $5,000 scholarships.

Farm Credit Services: The independent Farm Credit Services associations headquartered in Fargo, Mandan and Minot, with branch offices in various locations throughout ND and MN, will award 32 scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 to high school seniors who plan to enroll in college this fall. Recipients must be from an actively farming and/or ranching family, or be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture. Eligible applicants include those who reside in any North Dakota county or in the Minnesota counties of Becker, Beltrami, Big Stone, Clay, Clearwater, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Kittson, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Roseau, Stevens, Todd, Traverse, Wadena or Wilkin. Selection is based on academic record, personal attributes, vocational promise, leadership and financial need. The Minot Model Alumni Association annually awards scholarships to applicants who are direct descendants of graduates of Minot Model High School or of students who were attending the school when it was closed in 1968. BND Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, is accepting applications for the Eastern Star Training Awards for Religious leadership, which are announced each June. ESTARL Scholarships are available to full-time North Dakota resident students preparing for the ministry, mission field, careers as directors of religious education, church music and youth leadership or their church-related fields. Also offered are educational loans up to $3000 to students who are at least a junior in college. They do not have to be a student in church-related field to apply for the loans.
