Sweater Weather Reading Challenge

As the leaves turn brilliant shades of red and gold and the crisp autumn breeze fills the air, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of curling up with a good book. What better way to celebrate this cozy season than by participating in the Sweater Weather Reading Challenge?

As always, MPL’s challenge is for all ages and can be tracked using the Beanstack app. This year’s challenge will officially begin on Sep. 26th along with our kick-off party and run through Feb. 28th. Pre-registration is open now! There will be two (yes, two!) challenges running at the same time and you can register and participate in both! The genre challenge will challenge you to read as many different genres as you can within the 5 months of Sweater Weather. The monthly challenges will challenge you to read as often as you can each month!

Why participate in the Sweater Weather Challenge?

With the inevitability of lower temps and more time indoors, the Sweater Weather Reading Challenge is the perfect way to celebrate the changing of the seasons, escape the chill and cultivate your love for reading. Whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or a casual reader, this challenge offers a delightful opportunity to immerse yourself in stories, connect with others, and cozy up with a good book. And what’s a challenge without prizes!? There will be 3 $50 gift card winners announced at the end of Sweater Weather for the genre challenge and 3 $10 gift card winners announced at the beginning of each following month for the monthly challenges. The more you read, the better chances you have to win! For any questions, concerns, or book recommendations, call the library at 701-852-1045 and any of our staff members will be happy to assist you.

To register, log in to the Beanstack app or register through this link, https://minotnd.beanstack.com/reader365

Now, about that kick-off party. Join us on Thursday, September 26th for a fun, cozy event with snacks, games, prizes, reading recommendations and more! This all ages event will run from 4:00-7:30 pm in the North Meeting Room!
