Services Provided

Optimal Pregnancy Outcome Program (OPOP): Nursing, social and nutritional services are
provided to pregnant women at no charge, in addition to care received from their regular doctor.

High Priority Infant (HPI): Screening, monitoring, follow-along and support for infants and
families.

Children and Youth (C&Y): Comprehensive health screening program for children up to seven
years of age.

Women, Infants and children (WIC): Supplemental food and nutrition education program for
qualifying women, infants, and children.

Car Seats: Educational programs are provided for adults on the proper use of child car seats.
Child car seats are available for a minimal fee to those who qualify.

Immunizations: provided for children include: DPT, Polio, Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR),
Hepatitis B, Chicken Pox, Haemophilus b, and others.

Immunizations provided for adults include: influenza, MMR and Tetanus Diphtheria.
Tobacco Control Program- Provides counseling and education to adults and pregnant women
who smoke, vape, or chew tobacco, and advocates for tobacco-free policies.

Family Planning- Women’s health care including education, counseling, physical exams, and
methods of birth control. Pregnancy testing and counseling services available.

Community wellness education programs.

STI Outpatient: Identify and treat individuals with sexually transmitted infections.

AIDS: antibody testing and counseling.

Tuberculosis (TB): Outpatient Identification, treatment, and follow-up of tuberculosis.

Food service education: Food training class for food workers at restaurants in the seven
counties the unit serves. Licenses and inspects restaurants and food service entities, lodging
and tattoo entities. Testing of drinking water and aquatic facilities.
