Black History Month: Fireside Chat

February is dedicated as Black History Month honoring the accomplishments and sacrifices of African Americans throughout history. The theme for 2023 is “Black Resistance”.

In celebration, the Minot Public Library is hosting a “Fireside Chat” with Joy-Nicole Smith. Joy-Nicole will lead a discussion about the importance of poetry with a focus on Amanda Gorman and her inaugural poem “The Hill We Climb”. This conversation will take place Wednesday, February 15th at 6:00pm in the North Meeting Room of the Minot Public Library. This will be geared toward adults; however, all are welcomed to join. No registration is required.
