The Minot Public Library strives to provide access to information to all citizens in our service area and offers a variety of special services to help meet that goal.
Our Homebound Delivery Service is designed to bring the library to you. Community members who have difficulty leaving their homes due to disability, mobility challenges, or other circumstances, who live within Minot city limits, may benefit from this free service.
Participants can enjoy a wide variety of materials, including large print books, regular print books, audiobooks, Playaways, DVDs, and music CDs. Items are selected and delivered right to your door once a month, helping you stay connected to reading, learning, and entertainment from the comfort of home. To get started, call us at 701-852-1045.
Not within city limits? These other options may be of assistance.
All library cardholders can download eBooks, eAudiobooks and stream videos to their computer, smartphone, or tablet. With downloaded eBooks, users are able to adjust the print size and color of the text. With eAudiobooks, users are able to control the volume and speed of the book. You can access thousands of titles through the Library2Go website or the Libby app. Also, video streaming is available with Kanopy. Apply for a digital library card here to get started.
For those who are unable to read standard print materials due to a visual, physical, or reading disability, the North Dakota Library’s Talking Books program provides additional accessible options. These services include access to audio, large print and braille materials in digital and physical formats. To get started, call us at 701-852-1045.
