Services Provided

* Provides information and referral including assessment and clarification of individual and family needs, appropriate referral and follow-up. The focus is prevention and education, family life education and skills development, marriage enrichment, parenting, financial management and spouse employment. A Job Service representative is available one afternoon a week to assist with employment issues & assistance with finances. Persons may receive counseling and an appropriate referral. Air Force Aid offers emergency financial assistance, moving assistance and educational loans. Family Services is an all volunteer program administered by the Family Support Center. It’s services include a loan closet, airman’s attic, infant layettes, carseat loans, information on other bases and sponsor and welcome packets. Persons wishing to volunteer at many base organizations may begin the process at the Family Support Center. Assistance is given to foreign born spouses including tutoring for the citizenship examination, linking with other spouses who speak the same language and referral to English as a 2nd language classes on base or in Minot. Relocation assistance is offered to families moving to or from Minot AFB. Assistance is also given to those transitioning out of the military service.
