History: In 1947 a committee hired Colin Brown as secretary. Brown organized the Minot Y’s Men’s club and was executive director for the YMCA once it was in operation. The Minot Y’s Men’s club helped the new club get organized and in 1961 the Colin Brown’s club joined the Minot club in sponsoring a rodeo. The club was named after the YMCA’s first director.
