Service Provided: The service club members volunteer time to the coat and package check at the Norsk Hostfest, door security and ticket taking at youth sporting events, and watching gates at the ND State Fair to raise money to donate to children in the Minot area. Their service projects are selling tickets at Corbett Field for Legion baseball and bell ringing for Salvation Army.
Minot Golden Kiwanis was chartered in 1978 with 60 members. The average membership at this time is 25. Golden Kiwanis volunteers average over 6000 hours of service and donate over $17,000 to various projects, including YMCA, Magic City Discovery Center, 2nd Story, Minot Area Chamber, International Music Camp, Westhope Public School, Our Redeemer’s Junior Class, Dakota Hope, Metigoshe Ministries, Burlington Recreation, Youth Vaping Taskforce, Minot High Trap Team, Marketplace for Kids, First District Health, Anne Carlsen Center, Ward County Historical Society, and Salvation Army.
