National Library Week

April 23-29, 2023 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The theme for this year’s National Library Week is “There’s More to the Story,” which demonstrates that libraries are indeed full of stories. These stories are in a variety of formats including, picture books, large print, audiobooks, and more. But there is also so much more to the story.

At the Minot Public Library (MPL), we encourage all Minot community members to visit their library and explore all that is available. MPL offers a wide array of programs, classes, and resources that are available in person or from the comfort of your home. This includes ND State Park Passes, gardening tools, craft programs for all ages, eBooks, online language classes, community rooms and more. By expanding resources and embracing inclusion in programming, resources, and collections, libraries of all types continue to go above and beyond to bring their communities together.

This National Library Week, you can show your appreciation and support for libraries by visiting MPL in person or online and following us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. For more information, call (701) 852-1045, or follow us on social media.
