New Library Director Announcement

Effective January 2026, The Minot Public Library welcomes new Library Director, Joshua Pikka! Josh has been a valued member of the library team for nearly a decade. He joined the Minot Public Library in March of 2016 as the Technology and Circulation Librarian, where he played an essential role in supporting daily operations, advancing library technology, and providing outstanding service to our community. In July of 2025, Josh stepped into the role of Interim Director, guiding the library with steady leadership and dedication during a period of transition.

Josh holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to joining our library, he served as the Director of the John E. Biersdorf Library at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary, also located in Detroit. His professional experience and understanding of library services make him well-prepared to lead our library into its next chapter.

Both Josh and library personnel are excited to see him officially step into this new role and look forward to his continued leadership as we grow, adapt, and serve our community together.

Please join us in congratulating Josh on his new position as Library Director!
