Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading is almost here! Minot Public Library invites people of all ages to participate in the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge. This year’s theme is Color Our World and to kick things off we are partnering with Ward County Public Library with a fun-filled scavenger hunt through Downtown Minot. This will be held on May 31st at Main Street Books from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for people of all ages.

The Summer Reading Challenge will run from May 31st through July 29th and the goal is to read for 20 minutes every day. The more days you read, the greater your chance to win prizes! Aside from reading, there will also be tons of fun to be had at your local libraries, like escape rooms, summer camps, crafting, STEM, Story Time programs, and more!

There’s something extra special about this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. For every day of reading you log, you’ll get a token you can use to voice your opinion on the Minot Public Library’s brand-new mascot! YOU will get to choose the character that represents your library by reading your favorite books!

Get ready to join us as we Color Our World—one page, one vote, and one vibrant moment at a time!
