The temps are cooling down and sweater weather has found us once again. That means it’s time for cozy vibes like snuggling up with a good book and a warm drink! What better way to celebrate this season than by participating in the Sweater Weather Reading Challenge?
As always, MPL’s challenge is for all ages and can be tracked using the Beanstack app. This year’s challenge will officially begin on November 1st and will run through February 28th. Pre-registration opens October 27th! This year, there will be a monthly genre challenge that will challenge you to read within a theme. However, when logging your reading on Beanstack, you will only need to log the days you read at least 20 minutes. So, if one of the genres just really isn’t your thing, that’s okay. All reading counts!
Why participate in the Sweater Weather Challenge?
With the inevitability of lower temps and more time indoors, the Sweater Weather Reading Challenge is the perfect way to celebrate the changing of the seasons, escape the chill and embrace your love for reading. Whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or a casual reader, this challenge offers a delightful opportunity to immerse yourself in stories, connect with others, and cozy up with a good book. And what’s a challenge without prizes!? There will be 3 $25 gift card winners announced at the beginning of each following month for the monthly challenges. The more you read, the better chances you have to win! For any questions, concerns, or book recommendations, call the library at 701-852-1045 and any of our staff members will be happy to assist you.
