The Future Face of MPL

Exciting News: Our Library is Getting a MASCOT!

Staff submitted and voted on several mascot candidates narrowing the pool down to the final 3. Those final candidates are Blaze the Book Dragon, known for wisdom, good fortune, and prosperity. Bob the Bookworm known for their love of reading and collection of books. And Pip the Prairie Dog, known for community, vigilance and humility. Only ONE will become the official face of the Minot Public Library. And here’s the best part: YOU, the community, get to decide the winner!

So how can you cast your vote? First you will need to sign up for our “Color Our World” Summer Reading Program. You can sign up using the Beanstack App or by asking a staff member. For each day you read at least 20 minutes & log it, you’ll earn one voting token. Votes will then need to be cast in person at the library. You can stop at either circulation desk to redeem your votes! Each person can earn up to a maximum of 60 votes.

The more you read, the more say you have in who becomes our new library-loving friend! Voting is open from now until Saturday, August 9th.

**Please note: Images and names are currently place holders. Whichever friend wins is subject to a new look and name!
